The "Market"- Sunday- Part 4

After church on Sunday, I walked down to the market with Christy and another Honduran lady who was familiar with bargaining in the market. The produce market was open on Sundays and Thursdays. It was so colorful and fun to look at everything. The prices were SO cheap too! Avacado's were 20 cents. Banana's 3 cents a piece. Pineapple and cantelopes for under $1. Everything was so much cheaper than in the US! I was wishing that I could pack suitcases full of fruit...but it's not allowed.

The Patterson's are in the process of adopting a sweet little 8 yr old Honduran girl named Iris...pronounced "Edeece", to go with their 6 boys. She took immediately to Josiah and Jubilee and they had so much fun together even though she spoke barely any English and my kids know barely any Spanish. She was also very helpful with Gilead. Here is a picture of Iris and Josiah.
